Inside Maria Menounos’s Longtime Encino Estate

Inside Maria Menounos's Longtime Encino Estate

A Two-Decade Foundation in the San Fernando Valley

Maria Menounos built her public career in front of the camera, while her private life has been anchored by a remarkably consistent home base. After emerging as a correspondent for Access Hollywood and Extra in the early 2000s, the Medford, Massachusetts, native and Emerson College graduate became a familiar presence in entertainment television, later anchoring E! News and contributing to Today. Her career eventually expanded beyond television, as she and her husband, Keven Undergaro, co-founded the podcast network AfterBuzz TV. She also hosts the podcast “Conversations with Maria” and has authored multiple New York Times bestsellers.

Unlike celebrities known for frequently changing residences, Menounos has maintained a long-term connection to one primary property. She and Undergaro settled into their Encino compound in 2005, during the early stages of her national television career, and remained there through the major developments of the following two decades. That period included Menounos’s highly publicized 2017 brain surgery and subsequent health challenges, experiences that contributed to a broader shift toward wellness and advocacy in her professional life.

Rather than repeatedly moving as her career developed, the couple invested in transforming the same Rancho Estates property. Over the years, the home evolved into a more extensive private compound, incorporating entertainment and production spaces that reflected their growing work in podcasting and media. More recently, the couple has spent substantial time in Connecticut, helping bring the Encino property’s long chapter as their home to a close.

A Family Home Heads to Market

After more than two decades of ownership, Maria Menounos and Keven Undergaro have placed their Encino estate on the market, seeking just under $7 million for the property that has remained a central part of their lives since 2005. The listing represents a significant transition for a couple who acquired the residence early in Menounos’s television career and gradually developed it into a highly customized family compound.

The property was not immediately offered for sale. Records indicate that the estate was first marketed as a rental in fall 2025, with an asking price of approximately $40,000 per month. After failing to attract a tenant at that level, the monthly rate was reduced to about $35,000. The strategy eventually shifted toward an outright sale, and the property entered the market this month at $6.995 million, represented by listing agent Andrew Manning of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties.

The price also highlights the property’s long ownership history. Menounos and Undergaro paid approximately $2.3 million for the estate in 2005, making the current asking price more than three times their original purchase price. The increase reflects both the broader appreciation of Encino real estate and the extensive, multi-stage improvements made during their ownership.

The property is nevertheless entering a market where conditions at the higher end have become more measured. High-end inventory in Encino has softened over the past year, while a nearly $7 million asking price places the estate among the more expensive offerings in the area. The eventual sale price may therefore differ from the current list price.

More than a conventional resale, the listing presents a home shaped over many years by the people who lived and worked there. Set behind mature hedging within the private Rancho Estates community, the property was reportedly largely unoccupied as the family’s daily life increasingly shifted east. Its sale marks the close of the Encino chapter while preserving the extensive features the couple developed during their ownership.
