A guard-gated hilltop retreat above Beverly Hills became the pop star and the Rhode founder’s permanent family base.
A Couple, and a Portfolio, Built Over Time
Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber’s relationship has unfolded alongside an evolving collection of high-value homes. The two first met backstage at a morning television show in 2009, when Justin was already a rising teenage star and Hailey was a young fan. After years of intermittent contact, they reconnected in the summer of 2018. Justin proposed within weeks, and the couple married at a Manhattan courthouse that September before holding a larger celebration in South Carolina the following year. In August 2024, they welcomed their son, Jack Blues, and in September marked eight years of marriage. During that period, Hailey developed her Rhode skincare brand into a major business, while Justin continued his career in music, recording and performing for a global audience.
Their real-estate history reflects that progression. Before his marriage to Hailey, Justin owned a Tuscan-style residence in Calabasas, which he purchased in 2014 for $6.5 million and sold two years later to Khloé Kardashian for $7.2 million. After the wedding, the couple expanded their property holdings with a lakefront estate in Justin’s native Ontario, reportedly purchased for about $5 million, as well as an $8.5 million Monterey Colonial in Beverly Hills acquired in 2019. The 1932 residence was promoted on social media with a playful “make an offer” message before eventually selling in early 2021 for approximately $7.96 million.
The Beverly Park purchase represented a different approach to their property strategy. Rather than simply moving from one Los Angeles residence to another, the couple established a more substantial long-term base. They later added a desert retreat in 2023, purchasing a French-inspired residence in La Quinta’s Madison Club for $16.6 million. Beverly Park, however, has remained their principal family home.
The News: The Biebers Plant Their Flag in Beverly Park
In late August 2020, during a period when the COVID-19 pandemic had dramatically altered daily life across Los Angeles, Justin and Hailey Bieber closed on a Beverly Park mansion for $25.8 million. The acquisition placed the couple inside one of the region’s most tightly secured residential communities, a guard-gated enclave set high in the hills above Beverly Hills.
The sales history helps put the price in perspective. The approximately 2.5-acre property originally entered the market in 2018 with an asking price of $42 million and remained on and off the market for roughly two years. It was relisted in the summer of 2020 for $27.25 million before the Biebers purchased it for $25.8 million. Compared with the original asking price, the final transaction represented a discount of roughly 39 percent and ranked among the notable luxury-home sales in Beverly Hills that year.
The couple were represented by Josh and Matt Altman of Douglas Elliman, the real-estate brothers known for handling high-end transactions. The seller was Dubai-based developer Danny Lubert, who had purchased the property in 2015 for $16.5 million and subsequently invested in a substantial contemporary renovation.
For Justin, the purchase also marked a significant return to Los Angeles homeownership. After years that included high-profile rental arrangements, including a reported $100,000-a-month stay in the San Fernando Valley that ended following plumbing problems, the Beverly Park acquisition became his first Los Angeles-area home purchase since the sale of his Calabasas property. The couple had spent roughly 18 months in their Beverly Hills newlywed residence before moving to an estate that offered considerably more space, privacy and security.
Privacy is one of Beverly Park’s defining characteristics. The community’s guarded entrances and extensive security infrastructure provide residents with a level of separation from public traffic and unwanted attention that is difficult to achieve elsewhere in Los Angeles. The neighborhood has attracted a long list of celebrities and high-profile residents, including Denzel Washington, Eddie Murphy, Sylvester Stallone, Sofia Vergara and Rod Stewart. In 2021, Dwayne Johnson also purchased a Beverly Park property for $27.8 million.
Unlike several of their earlier Los Angeles homes, the Biebers have not subsequently sold the Beverly Park estate. Several years after the acquisition, it remains the couple’s primary Los Angeles residence and the family home where they are raising their son.
